PERSONAL TRUST TAX MANAGER

Our highly successful client carries out advisory work for high net worth individuals, international clients, non-domiciled individuals, ex-pats, trusts including offshore trusts, offshore pensions, IHT, CGT, mixed fund cleansing, compliance, remittances and tax planning. Other services related to the above.

Main responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a couple of external relationships and their value to the practice through referrals
Undertake day to day line management responsibilities for appropriate members of the team with overall responsibility for their development and progression and in turn overseeing their management of more junior members of staff
Where relevant, working with the Team Leader to oversee tax return process(es), taking responsibility for ensuring that all returns are completed by the required deadlines and where possible within client service guidelines
Review and sign out routine advisory work prepared and researched by other members of the team
Undertake higher level technical work, looking to develop an area of particular specialism
Successfully manage a portfolio of clients with support from Tax Seniors and/or Assistant Managers including the financial management such as recoverability and invoicing.
Candidate requirements:

Proven organisational ability
Good communication skills with respect to dealing with clients and more senior members of staff
Previous people management exposure and skills
Commercial awareness of the impact of their workload on the financial position of the practice
Previous exposure of dealing with more complex technical work especially in respect of non-domiciled and international individuals and in tax considerations for US citizens both in the US and UK
Willingness to obtain business development experience and participate in business development activities
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work to deadlines as required
